Gaël Bonnefon graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Toulouse (Isdat) with the congratulations of the jury in 2008. He has exhibited at Villa Pérochon, at the Lectoure Photographic Summer, at 104 in Paris during Jeune Création 2012, at the Rencontres internationales de la photographie d’Arles and at PhotoEspana. He has also made personal exhibitions at the Musée des Abattoirs in 2014, at the Château d’Eau gallery in 2012 and 2019 and in the Vitrine du Frac Île-de-France at the
spring 2020. His work is present in the collections of the Frac Midi-Pyrénées, the Water Castle (Toulouse), the Kulturamt in Düsseldorf and the Kiyosato Museum in Japan; he participated in the Time Zero project in Berlin, Braga, Rome, Bucharest, Groningen and Thessaloniki and Smell of Dust in Sao Paulo and New York. He has enjoyed numerous artist residencies in France, Germany, and Israel..
It is in the interstices of everyday life, between the visible and the invisible, that my work Photography was born ten years ago.
Governed by a tragic vision, I haven’t stopped reformulating it, increasing it, starting over.
