Lionel Auvergne, who has been drawing and modeling the human body since the beginning of his career, focusing more and more on movement, is no exception to the rule. He also recognizes that drawing for sculpture is essential. « It is, » he says, « a daily reflection. I think of the grass before humanity, before language. To a space of grass where a beast would have slept, and which kept then, unaware of any conscience, the shape, for one instant.
